The Life Center is a non-profit, faith-based, alternative to abortion organization advocating sexual wellness through three areas of outreach: teaching about sexual risks, helping through pregnancy, and healing for restoration.

 

The mission: Individuals and families are empowered through education to choose life and sexual wellness through teaching, helping, healing programs. 

 

We currently have open positions that are quite specialized, and for some of these roles, we may request a letter of intent. Staff Nurse - Andrews

A unique educational opportunity for RNs with current credentials and licenses (preferably with OB/GYN knowledge/experience) and a desire to support mothers and families experiencing unexpected pregnancies. Requires computer proficiency in Excel, data-entry, or other systems as trained. Upholds all policies/procedures and has excellent communication and demonstrated teaching skills. Has sonogram experience or is willing to master administering limited obstetrical ultrasound scans (training provided). The Prevention Education Department of The Life Center is seeking dynamic presenters who have an interest in equipping local youth to live healthy and fulfilling futures. All curricula are character-based and goal-centered in order to encourage students to make the best choices surrounding their mental, emotional, and sexual wellness.  

The person applying must demonstrate the ability to speak and teach in a variety of venues from classrooms to auditoriums for students in grades 4th – 12th. Presenters must have a proven ability to articulate sensitive subject matter. They must also be comfortable working with presentation technology and within a team environment. All staff must agree to The Life Center's policies and mission and live a life reflective of such.

 

Position: Full-time, minimum of 20 hours of training, flexible, self-starter. Maintain accurate information and record keeping. Must be willing to travel within our service areas. 

 

Education: BS or BA preferred or equivalent experience

STI/STD Clinic - Odessa Location

Full-Time STI Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing services in the clinic to ensure effective health promotion, administer treatment as needed and provide disease prevention services and other duties as assigned. Requires computer proficiency in Excel, data-entry, or other systems as trained. Full- Time Medical Receptionist will welcome patients, schedule and maintain appointments, answer incoming calls appropriately, and complete administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and data entering patient information. Other duties may be assigned as directed by the Director of Medical Services. Candidate must be fluent in Spanish. Previous medical office experience preferred. Requires computer proficiency in Excel, data-entry, or other systems as trained. Your compassionate and caring approach will ensure that our clients receive the care and assistance they need during this important time.

Client Services Donations Coordinator - Odessa

The Life Center is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as the Client Services Donations Coordinator (CSDC). This role is crucial in managing and maintaining material donations for our Baby Boutique and Material Assistance program. The CSDC works closely with the Client Services Director to oversee client visits to the Baby Boutique and ensure the Material Assistance closet is well-stocked with quality items. Additionally, the coordinator will foster relationships with community entities to secure ongoing donations.

Client Service Advocate - Andrews

The Client Advocate at The Life Center in Andrews is responsible for educating clients on pregnancy options and providing support while advocating on their behalf. This role requires strong faith, a commitment to pro-life and purity issues, and alignment with The Life Center's mission and values. The Advocate must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate effective communication skills, and interact professionally with clients and coworkers. Key responsibilities include crisis intervention, administering pregnancy tests, providing material assistance, and ensuring proper documentation.

The role also involves participating in quality assurance activities, staying informed on relevant topics, and representing The Life Center in the community, particularly in support of major fundraising efforts. Completion of training and a commitment to ongoing personal development are essential.
